Noel T. Stone graduated from the University of Minnesota in electrical engineering in 1942. After army service from 1942-1946, Stone worked for Minneapolis-Honeywell Regulator Company. In 1947 he joined Engineering Research Associates, then worked as chief Engineer for Remington Rand, later Sperry Rand. In 1962 he joined Control Data Corporation in the Computer Division.
